ARKANGEL - "Is your Enemy" (Belgium)

ARKANGEL - "Is your Enemy"

Arkangel were one of the new metalcore bands back then and they released some incredible songs on their EP "Prayer Upon deaf Ears". This is their third album and their GSR debut. The thing I liked about them back then was, that they delivered some plain and brutal songs packed with hatred and fast and whirling guitars. I kind of miss that on their latest effort. They still sound like Arkangel, they still have their signature aggressive sound and the songs are still pretty good but they added some more calm and epic parts. This is actually a thing that I am happy about usually, but I think Arkangel lose some of their charme and sometimes drift towards triviality and I think a lot of people who listened to them back then have moved on and may not be that easy to get with a record like this. - Heartboiled.net review

INCARNATE - "Embrace the Horror" (Netherlands)

INCARNATE - "Embrace the Horror"

Incarnate from the Netherlands was formed in 2003 and the music could be described as a perfect blend of heavy hardcore and 90 thrashmetal. Take the intensity and power of Hatebreed, the thrashing riffs of Slayer the heaviness of Crowbar and the darkness of Integrity and you get a pretty good idea of what this dutch band is about. 10 tracks.

EYE OF JUDGEMENT - "Beligerent" (Netherlands)

EYE OF JUDGEMENT - "Beligerent"

Eye of judgement catalyses this anger through a style of metallic hardcore comparable to hate-fuelled bands such as Integrity, All Out War and Slapshot - the sound of complete annihilation.
Eye of Judgement adheres to a vegan Straight Edge philosophy, which is obvious in our lyrics that deal with veganism, Straight Edge and our contempt of mankind. Veganism is the only morally acceptable way of living on earth in the numbers that the human population has grown to. We despise the way that humans treat animals in the exploitative industries of food and fur and we despise the lack of strength and willpower people have to change their habits. Man is not the master of the earth and we support all terrorist activities that prevent any further destruction of innocent lives as well as any other campaigns to put a halt to these crimes against living creatures.
Straight Edge our resistance. We reject the culture of self-denial and escapism. The truth is in the real world and running away from that is weakness.

LOYAL TO THE GRAVE - "Still Climbin Still Believin" (Japan)

LOYAL TO THE GRAVE - "Still Climbin Still Believin"

No need for introduction to this eastern powerhouse, but if your just still catchin up with the asian hardcore scene, This Japanese band plays metallic hardcore with lots of double bass parts and super heavy “chug”. Throaty vocals and driving riffs lead some to say it reminds them a bit of All Out War or Hatebreed, but without the severe tough-guy overtones. The band also features members of Japanese favorites, State Craft. Moshcore, Japan style!

ROT IN HELL - HALLWAYS OF THE ALLWAYS (United Kingdom)

ROT IN HELL - HALLWAYS OF THE ALLWAYS (United Kingdom)

Hailing from the UK, Rot in Hell plays metallic hardcore. Not the type that your 13-year-old cousin in the girls' jeans thinks he listens to, rather the type inspired by Integrity. Not only is Rot in Hell clearly influenced by the legendary Cleveland band, but is also a member of the Holy Terror ring of bands, which is of course, headed by Integrity. That said, you should know what you’re getting here: lots of fast crunchy riffs paired with slower creepy parts and the occasional guitar solo. The vocals are a shriek-type of yell and the band is consistently dirty and fierce.

RUSH IxDx - READY TO STRIKE (Manila, Philippines)

RUSH IxDx - READY TO STRIKE (Manila, Philippines)

RUSH IxDx started out as a side project by members of FEUD, CHOKE COCOI and BACKFIST around 2001 but because of studies, weddings, pregnancies, other bands starting up and a hundred of other reasons (worthwhile or not), the project was put aside. Sometime this year, because of hanging out on shows all the time, we decided to give it one more shot and we played our second "first show" somewhere in Bulacan and we had a blast. It was followed up by a couple of more shows..

LIVING HELL - OBLIVION 2009 (Connecticut/Boston,USA)

LIVING HELL - OBLIVION 2009 (Connecticut/Boston,USA)

Forged from the ashes of various notable New England hardcore bands, Living Hell have been a ravenous force in the Connecticut/Boston hardcore scene for the last 4 years. LH fuse a sound of pestilent hardcore combined with raw metallic overtones which set the structure for their message of holy terrorism and human damnation. Having released their first full length record “The Lost and The Damned” on Revelation Records almost a year ago, Living Hell are gearing up to release their Eulogy debut in the Summer of '09

"Oblivion," Living Hell's second album, is a clear and definitive progression from their debut record, "The Lost And The Damned." Combining hardcore, punk, thrash and black metal, "Oblivion" is truly a unique and moving record. For fans of Slayer, Hatebreed and Integrity.

ANOTHER VICTIM - "A Bitter End" A Complete Discography (Syracuse, New York)

ANOTHER VICTIM - "A Bitter End" A Complete Discography (Syracuse, New York)

Another Victim was at the forefront of the burgeoning vegan straight-edge-oriented hardcore movement of the late '90s.Hailing from the same Syracuse, NY, hometown of genre standard bearers, friends, and supporters Earth Crisis, Another Victim's lyrics attacked drug and animal abuse, pornography, and racism as savagely as their brutal hardcore/metal-oriented music attacked listeners. The band formed in 1997 with Anderson Bradshaw on vocals, Jonathan Dennison on guitar, Jamie Coyle on drums, and bassist Ted Alexander.

THICK AS BLOOD - 2 ALBUMS (Miami, Florida USA)

THICK AS BLOOD - 2 ALBUMS (Miami, Florida USA)

THICK AS BLOOD is a very proud hardcore band from Miami, FL. Formed in '04, they started out as a seven man team but recently trimmed down their roster to five, bringing out a more focused sound. They released their debut album"Moment Of Truth" in '07, toured the states numerous times including Canada sharing stages with the likes of Madball, Terror, Bleeding Through and much more. Thick as Blood are in no way an original band; their songwriting and style of music has been done many times before. Embrace, like many other hardcore releases, is also overloaded with breakdowns around every corner. However, Embrace manages to stand out from the oversaturated crowd of albums coming out of the hardcore scene.
