Damn! you aint into NYHC if you dont have this one
Life's Blood started circa 1987, and weren't really
around for very long, but they had a great sound
going with their mix of NYHC and some elements
of Oi/street punk (not to mention their politics).
Most notable is probably their song "Never Make a Change",
which was supposedly a major calling out of Youth of Today.
Adam Nathanson, and Neil Burke also went on to form
the legendary Born Against.

s is a former member of Cro-Mags, Biohazard and
Cleveland HC legends The Spudmonsters, and Guitarist Eric
Klinger is from Pro-Pain and The Spudmonsters. Despite
a hardcore lineage, the band's songs break out of any
and all genre confines. They blend slick metallic riffs
with hardcore hooks, while steam rolling rhythms
spearhead the assault. Their self-produced debut,
Burn Babylon Burn! is bound to set a new
hardcore standard.

from the late '80s/early '90s, Leeway was born
out of the New York Hardcore scene. Often touted
as one of the pioneers of the scene, Leeway were
one of the first, followed by many, to inject metal and
hip-hop sounds into the hardcore format. After years
of local hardcore shows and opening for national Metal/thrash
acts like Exodus, Nuclear Assault, and Suicidal Tendencies,
LEEWAY busted out nationally, with their release of
their debut album Born to Expire in 1988

Legendary straight edge band from the late 80's Connecticut straight
edge movement.who made their name known by opening up
for a lot of influential bands of the time at the Anthrax.
Their live show was awesome, tons of stagediving and
singalongs, and they were like real hometown heroes to
the local Ct. scenester kids. The cool thing about them is
that they were always down for rep'ing Ct., and they
even put "CT. Hardcore" on their ep that they did on
Schism records, which at the time was a pretty bold move
considering that NY was the cool place and the
surrounding states didn't get much respect.

TOKEN ENTRY - From Beneath the streets

Led by drummer/songwriter Ernie Parada
(the band's only constant member), Token Entry was a hardcore
/skate-punk band formed in Queens, New York in 1980,
when they were known as Gilligan's Revenge.
They adopted the name Token Entry in 1984
Parada later formed Black Train Jack and Greyarea.
